A Peasant's Fantasy by LonelyPoet

A fool thought that his dreams were real.
A fool thought that love would never fail.
He believes that a peasant like him
Could be liked by a princess, how dim!
"Who would want a brainless youth,
Who's overly slim and so uncouth?
It's only right that a princess be wed
To one who is princely and really well-fed;
Who has the look and just enough smarts
To ignore an idiots loud, smelly farts.
Faithful to wife; Be humble not proud,
And never to mix with the wrong crowd.."
Lying peacefully on the grassy floor,
The peasant re-arranged his thoughts once more.
"Such a prince is perfect and all,
But failure to care is his downfall."
Thus the peasant chose to be
Content with his 'poverty'.
"As I rather be poor but very much caring;
Because love... Makes a man daring."
